Ingredients

  • 2 oz citron vodka

  • 3/4 oz Cointreau

  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice

  • 3/4 ounce simple syrup

  • Ice

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • Zest from 1 lemon

Instructions

  • Make lemon sugar: combine sugar and lemon zest with your fingers until it is tinted yellow
  • Moisten the rim of a chilled martini glass with lemon wedge, then turn the glass upside down. Twist into the lemon sugar, and set aside.
  • Add vodka, Cointreau, lemon juice, simple syrup, and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker.
  • Shake for 30 seconds.
  • Strain into the rimmed martini glass and serve immediately.
