Raise your hand if you love a good 2-ingredient cocktail! ♡

I adore just about any kind of bourbon drink — a simple Jim Beam and Sprite cocktail in my book cannot be beat.

I have to thank my friend Katie for introducing me to this cocktail. She made them for us when we were upstate for a weekend.

Why You’ll Love This Drink

You’ll love this Jim Beam and Sprite cocktail because it’s incredibly easy and quick to make. You literally just have to pour two ingredients into an ice-filled glass!

The Jim Beam and Sprite cocktail is a deceptively simple drink. The classic mix of bourbon and Sprite is good for any time of day or any season.

I prefer a ratio of three parts Sprite to one part Jim Beam–the buzz of the bourbon and Sprite builds slowly and is easy to maintain at a humming level.

And if you feel like boosting the citrus flavor of your drink up a bit, I’ve also included tips below for how to make add more zesty lemony taste into your drink — so good!

How to make a Jim Beam and Sprite

The ingredients for a Jim Beam and Sprite cocktail are pretty self-explanatory… It’s all in the name!

All you really need is:

  • Jim Beam Bourbon: Of course, you’ll need Jim Beam!
  • Sprite: I generally make this with Diet Sprite, but you can also use Regular Sprite or Sprite Zero.
  • Ice: Jim Beam and Sprite is served over ice.
  • (optional) Garnishes: Garnish your drink with a lemon wedge and sprig of rosemary.

No recipe is really needed, but I’ve included one just in case below.

It’s also nice to garnish the drink with a lemon wedge. But if you don’t have lemon, it will still be delicious.

I also like to add fancy ice cubes frozen with some lemon zest–it adds an extra citrus boost to the drink!

If you prefer a bit more fruitiness, try using Jim Beam Apple for a variation on this simple cocktail.

Equipment Needed

  • Highball Glass: A highball is a tall, skinny glass. You can also use a slightly larger Collins glass.
  • Bar Spoon: The long handle on bar spoons makes it really easy to stir cocktails and not make a mess.
  • Jigger: My go-to measuring tools for cocktails. They work perfectly for pouring in layers for cocktails.
  • Ice Cube Tray: You’ll need plenty of ice on hand to fill up your highball glass.
  • Knife: For cutting your optional lemon garnish
  • Chopping Board: Also used for cutting your garnish

When To Serve Jim Beam & Sprite

  • Summer barbecue
  • Brunch
  • Girls Night In
  • Cocktail party
  • After dinner drink
  • Holiday Gathering (garnish with fresh cranberries for a festive twist)
